Leaves and Water My golden thoughts
Aflutter in the autumn breeze
Break loose of moorings and take to wings
They float in reckless buoyancy
And land in light poise, momentarily
Or, so they think
On the shimmering allure
Of his being
Seeking a mirror
To themselves,
A conformation
Of kinship
I watch them darken
And slowly drown
